How much will a year at folk university cost?
Costs for the 2024–2025 school year
To see what your school year will cost, you must add up the sums according to your choices. Prices have now been set for the 2024/2025 school year.

Enrollment money is paid when you accept the place, the rest is distributed as monthly amounts throughout the school year.
You will receive an individual payment plan upon admission. The payments to the school correspond to the dates of payment from the loan fund. Feel free to contact us with questions!
For the school year 2024/2025, the school has entered a lower price for student costs of NOK. NOK 20,000 on line costs. This is because of a gift the school has received, where the wish is that parts of the gift should contribute to a reduced price for you as a student.
NB! We reserve the right to adjust costs related to the study tours in the event of major changes in exchange rates and ticket prices.

For spring 2025, the school has entered a lower price for line costs due to a gift the school has received, where the wish was that parts of the gift should contribute to a reduced price for you as a student. This amounts to NOK. NOK 10,000 per pupil.

Then it might be an idea to take a look at what you get for your money and perhaps compare it with what it will cost you to live in a dormitory.

Loans and grants
You can get support from Lånekassen when you go to folk college. For the 2024/2025 school year, you can be paid up to NOK 137,907 from the Lånekassen. 60 per cent of this sum is a loan, 40 per cent is a loan that can be converted into a scholarship when you are approved for your year at folkehøgskole.
